23rd September 2011 Former Miss Ireland Emma Waldron plans to move to Hollywood |
Former Miss Ireland Emma Waldron is set to move to Los Angeles to embark on a glamorous, acting and presenting career.
County Kildare’s Emma plans to travel across the Atlantic as soon as she has completed her final year of a degree in primary school teaching at St Patrick’s College in Dublin.
"It would be great to pop over and hopefully he [a LA director and friend] can help open some doors for me. I'll probably go off to LA next May” she said.
This brave move was inspired by Emma’s recent stint on Republic of Telly, a comedy TV and magazine review programme broadcast in the Republic of Ireland. Learning the lines for the sketch reminded Emma of her love for acting and has propelled her to move to Los Angeles.
Most of Emma’s time is divided between college, filming and fashion shows however the 21 year old says she is "good at juggling everything” and commends former Miss Ireland Rosanna Davison for the same having just completed a Masters degree.
Despite the busy schedule, Emma is hoping to make an appearance at this year's Miss World contest where newly crowned Miss Ireland Holly Carpenter will represent Ireland.
