Stefanie Grace Gentle, from Nieuw Nickerie, was recently crowned Miss Suriname at a ceremony held at the Congress Hall in Paramaribo, Suriname.
21 year old Stefanie is currently studying Economics at the Anton de Kom University and wishes to join the Police Corps to ensure a safe and happy Suriname. She says she does not believe in just sitting behind a desk and is looking forward to plenty of field work during her reign.
Miss Suriname wants to help women who are or have been victims of violence and promotes the following message to the youth of Suriname: “Seek the highest goals in life and do not be ashamed to learn from others. Draw your own and especially learn from others' mistakes. Once you've achieved your goals, never forget where you have come from!"
